Make a Cloth Doll

Saturday 5th March & Saturday 12th March 2022 (10-4pm each day)

Visit the folk toy and doll collection at the delightful Pollock's toy Museum with Curator and Morley Textiles Tutor Debby Brown, for a hands-on inspirational study of cloth dolls from around the world. Then create your own unique small doll back in the Morley studios, from a choice of specially adapted basic pattern shapes.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Discover a variety of ways to create forms from flat fabric

  • Learn how to adapt ideas from your photos and drawings made at the museum to create shapes, hair and features

  • Stitching and stuffing techniques

  • Clothes making for dolls
