About the Blog

Tales from the Toybox is the official Pollock’s Toy Museum blog. We publish content about our research and activities including:
- New donations to the collection
- Items undergoing conservation
- Exhibitions run by us or those elsewhere including items on loan from the collection
- The history of Pollock’s Toy Museum
- The history of toy theatres
- The history of toys and childhood, including social history and manufacturing
The blog is primarily written by the museum’s trustees and curator, however, we are keen to add more voices to the mix. If you are a professional, artist, or academic with an interest in toys and games relating to your research field who would be interested in volunteering to write for us, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We would also like to hear from any British toy makers and manufacturers who might be interested in collaborating with us on research to unlock stories from your archives.
Please email info.pollockstoymuseum@gmail.com if you would like to discuss this with us.
We are a registered charity currently run entirely by volunteers and welcome financial donations to preserve the collection for the future. Donate to save Pollock’s Toy Museum.
