New Shop display at Leadenhall
Leadenhall Market’s pretty Victorian shop fronts have inspired our latest small display at the museum’s Leadenhall site, focusing on shops.
You’ll be able to see six prints from The Book of Shops, published in 1899, including the charming toy shop shown below. Toy theatre shop scenes, picture books featuring shopping themes, and a recently gifted model shop complete with period miniature food packets round out the mini exhibition.
The shop and mini museum at Leadenhall Market are open Thursdays and Fridays from 11.00am to 3.00pm, at Unit 32-33, Leadenhall Market, London, EC3V 1LR (map)
